Leaf Spring Upgrade...Has anyone done this?
I found this over on Explorerforums and was wondering if anyone has done this to a Ranger? I think I might try it. They are taking 5 leaf F-150 springs and using all the leafs but the main with the eyes. Then bolting them to the rangers main with the eyes. The springs are the same width so it works good. It gives lift and makes a stiff leaf pack.

This seems like less work than the 63" chevy springs. I wouldn't even have to remove the main leaf on my truck. Just remove u-bolts, cut center bolt, and install f-150 springs. Then reinstall everything. If someone knows of a junkyard with Sport Trac springs could you let me know because I am having no luck.

If your looking for a firmer ridding spring that will give you more wheel travel look at the springs deaver makes their F-31 pre-runner pack for the ford ranger. It has like 7 leafs they also make a race pack with like 10 leafs, but if your not running a lot of weight in the back; like a roll cage, fuel cell and spare tires I would go with the 7 leaf pack. Found on Off Road Warehouses site they have them on sale.
