New T bar or new shocks?

New T bar or new shocks?
I just bought a new 05' Ranger Edge and have some questions about the suspension. The ride on this vehicle is a little rough ( can feel every bump in the road when driving) and I was considering changing the torsion bar on the front to a smaller diameter one to give this truck a more car like ride (wife would prefer it). The other option that was recommended to me was to change the gas pressurized shocks that are currently on the truck to hydraulic or twin tube non pressurized shocks. Can anyone tell me if one or both of these options will help with the ride of this truck? I love this truck but would like to smooth out the ride somewhat........thx

You have type F torsion bars which are quite soft. There is no need to change them. If you want to change shocks to improve the ride, you should step up to a better quality gas shock. But you will never succeed in making a Ranger ride like a car.
Be sure that your tires are set to the factory recommended setting on the door jamb. Overinflated tires on a Ranger give a very rough ride.
