Want a lift!.. Need Help!..

Hey all, i have a 2003 Ford Ranger Edge !2WD!, flareside. And i want a lift, badly. My cousin is a mechanic and he gave me a prety high price quote for a 4 inch suspension lift, around forty five hundred dollars installed. Whats a good suspension lift kit that might be a little less installed? or what have you had done, and for how much? id REALLY RATHER have a 6 inch though.. :D maybe throw in a 2 inch body lift also?
Thanks bro's!
Landon

$4500 sounds more like the price for a premium 4x4 suspension lift.

I've got the 3.5" ProComp Spindle Lift(2wd lift) installed for $694 out the door at 4WP! Don't know the prices installed for the 6" Suspension from Camburg installed for a 2wd Edge though..

Why dont yall stop whining about how much it is to be installed, pick up a rachet set, get dirty, and learn a few things. They have all the info that u need to have to be able to put it on right here on this website and it's links. Everything i have on my truck i did myself, except for airing up and slappin on my tires. It takes some time but u get to know ur truck better. And when u know ur truck, it makes everything easier for the next time u want to do somethin. GET OFF THE COMPUTER AND GET UNDER UR TRUCK!!

My truck is about 2" or so up over stock. I got the lift blocks from a 4x4 (about 1/2 to 3/4" lift in the back) plus lifting shackles (another inch or so), and then cranked the front t-bars. The shackles are about $50 but I scored the deeper stock lift blocks for free from a friend who went with full spring replacement. Looks better. Bigger tires also take you up a bit.
