Rancho RS9000X

A couple months ago I had posted about the deal on the Rancho shocks with the remote and someone else purchased them but I can't remember who. My question is, have you received the remote yet?? I'm fairly certain it was over 2 months ago that I mailed the rebate form but have not received anything yet.

Please let me know.

Hey, Tom, give me the size of that steel plate for the welding table. I think I asked for it again, but I don't think you gave it to me, or I never re-read that post. PM it to me so it's "saved", thanks.

Will do... I just have to get to the "shop" and measure it.

I actually called them and was told that they're backordered and will go out the first week in January. It never occurred to me that they would be backordered since Rancho had to know they were running this promo and would need the inventory, but somehow they failed... Interesting.

Mmm, in my opinion rebates and such incentives typically run like this. Rebates, be it for 'free' products or cash back are generally designed around the premise that a significant number of the people will either not file the paperwork in time, or not file it properly. I just made a major purchase w/ Canon USA. I am expecting a few hundred in rebate cash back. There is a lot of speculation that a lot of people who were rightly entitled to this rebate cash may never see it for one reason or another. Kinda sucks..

Well, I don't think they failed, per-se. I don't think they even intended to provide the stuff promptly at all. That would not surprise me.

Promotions are run my marketing types who want the sales figures and to get something "moving" that may be stalled, or by bean counters that want to move excess stock. Once you've bought them, they figure you can wait for "extras" and spending extra money making stuff you might not sell wouldn't make any sense. How do you know how many accessory kits you'll need until you sell the shocks, lol?!

It sucks if you want your stuff quickly, but I think it's generally how it's done.
