Rear Leafs...need help

Hey guys I am in need of some help. my ranger 1991 4x4 needs rear springs and I found a 1993 explorer for parts which has good springs do any of you now if those springs will fit and have any of you done? The explorer springs seem to have more of an orch to them so I'm thinking I may get some lift plus the rear of the explorer is havier so maybe better load carring qualities.

let me know thanks, all

J

Explorer springs are typically stiffer and will make the bed sit a bit higher. How much I don't know. Maybe a couple inches. I have Explorer springs waiting to be put on my truck.
I believe they should fit just fine but I'm no expert.

This might help.

After reading the srticle can you place the lift block back in or do you have to remove it and let the spring sit on the rear housing....great article by the way and thanks for that...let me know about the other if you can..

Could you tell a big difference in ride height? I like my levelled out look.

yea, explorer leafs will bolt in, and you can use the factory block with them as well, the only thing you have to do is clamp the spring pack together, remove the center pin from it, flip it and bolt it through the leaf pack the opposite way and thats it.
