Ok about my last post

Ok after learnin some new things from my previous post about using the gen 3 4wd lift on a 2wd, ive got some other questions. If i was to go with a lift, probably 4", and it came with all the new drop brackets. Can i add a coil spacer under the new 4" spring as well, to give it 6". If i can get the 6" up front, and it lifts the rear 4", i think id be pleased with the looks of the front being up instead of raked.

And the pitman arm, anyone have a good method of how to remove one, i dont hav ea puller, and wanna see if theres another way of doing it when the time comes.

Hey Ryan pmed me back and he dunno if his truck will be done by then. I offered him to ride with me but its his truck we all really wanna see.
Bout that lift question - I dunno!!!

Since you dont have a pitman arm puller..... I would suggest you rent one.... IT IS THE EASIEST way to remove it..... Otherwise you can damage the steering box.... trying to use a pickle fork.....
To break the rust.... I would suggest you spray on a quality creeping penetrant such as KROIL or PB Blaster....
Install the pitman arm puller and snug the bolt on the steering box shaft and then smack the side of the pitman arm with a 5 lb sledge hammer.... DONT BEAT IT TO DEATH.... Just smack it a few times and then tighten the puller bolt again..... REPEAT these steps until the pitman arm is free to slide of the shaft....

OR 4x4

if you do the coil spacer you are going to have camber shims for the alignment, other wise you wont be able to get it in spec, even then it might be hard...

i had a 88 b2 4wd and i got the 4 inch lift and they gave me the 6 inch springs ( morons lol ) and i got the camber kit for it and it was hard to align it, but got it in, i hope this answer your question...

ahhh, finally, thanks for the reply. I dont think that the shim part is the most of my worries, its finding good cheap 6" lift shocks. im starting pricing now, but wow, it may be awhile.

well on that same old b2, its lifted and my stock shocks off my ranger worked good.... you should take a pic of ur front suspension, maybe i can help out more...
