Alter rear hangers on SAS

Im planning an SAS this spring on my 01 Edge. Im gonna do a setup like the 02 fx4 thats on this forum. My question is if i have to relocate my rear hangers to fit my rear lift springs. Id like to not have to do that and just bolt in some springs and bolt in the axle. Im using a ford 9 inch and matching dana 44 front out of a 71-76 f150.
Thanks guys

but if you use the leaf springs that came on the 9" in the F-150, then YES you will have to relocated your front hanger.....it will take A LOT of measurements and so forth to get it correct......

Im not concerned about havint to do some fab work i was just curious of there were lift springs for the back i could just put in instead of having to relocate the front hangers to the rear springs. Redranger, your saying i could use some lift springs for the back? Yes im cutting off the C wedges for the front axle.

I just checked those out there are only for a 2 inch lift, definately not enough. Im gonna check out the allpro leaves and see if the dimensions are similar. If have to move em theres no gettin around it just trying to avoid it.

I just figure im going to make it as big as possible if im going to spend all the money and time into doing an SAS. Dont want to have to go back and make it bigger if im unhappy with it. Plus the addition of 38 inch tires. I really dont understand why there is such a debate with this. Everytime i ask questions about it, everyone wants to turn me off the idea of the SAS.

Im not trying to turn you off, Im just not into show trucks and big lifts so 4-6" would be more then enough for me with 38's i would just cut fenders to fit them.

Fair enough, i plan on doing some wheeling with my truck but yah itll be mostly street driven. Your truck has a good setup but i just want mine to be bigger thats all. Itll be a street queen but itll be badass for in the future when its not my main ride ill be able to take it wheelin.
