2wd lift idea

so im thinking about maybe lifting my 2wd just so it sits closer to a 4x4 height. i was searching around and thought that getting some lift springs in the front and a shackle in the back would probably be what im looking for. i dont plan on offroading seriously, just want a taller ride height.

my question is would this be pretty easy to do? should i worry about anything or is there anything else i would need?

Shackles

if u us the 2.5 springs u'll need new upper a-arms and if u get the 3" springs u'll need the a-arms and shocks. pepboys has shackles like that for 40 bucks btw.

i would personally go with a body lift. with those lift springs youre going to ruin the stock alignment of your truck and run through ball joints like no other not to mention tires

have you looked at the spindle lift kits? those look decent to install and wouldnt mess much up and you could do it for 400 bucks.

so the springs probably arent the best idea then? im not gonna be offroading and getting stuck and going crazy. just mainly into the looks of the truck being higher. i dont want to get too complicated because me and my friend will being installing anything i get

body lift is your best bet. its easy. i have coil spring spacers with my body lift and a block in the rear. i have about 5 inches of lift total probably, maybe a little more. spacers are $40 btw

If he got 3" spacers, would'nt he have to do the exact same things as if he were to get 3" lift coils though?

Joaquin --

...a few weeks ago, the $149 Summit lift kit was on sale for $107. It went up to $149 the day after I bought mine...

Do both. Spindles in the front and body lift. 35s and you will be good to go.
