those wheels don't look like 14" wheels to me either....my brother has a set of 14" wheels on his '79 Ford and they are deeper than that...
loose the 14" wheels and get 10" wheels.....unless you are trying to float your truck across the Pacific to California...
i bet you have some serious ball joint problems...

are you stupid?? that setup on SAND?!?! ever heard of...... maybeeee...uhm.... airing down for that? it works TONS better than having to keep a **** ton of air in the tires to keep the bead...

If you ever air them down -- good luck. No rock crawling with that setup for sure.
I can see it working for floatation use though -- but if you put big power on them, you could still detach the bead.
Definitely bad for the tire no matter how you look at it. You're going to get a very definite wear pattern over time as if the tires were underinflated dut to the bending of the tread that forces the edges down.
If that's repeated sorry -- I didn't read the rest of the thread.
But my feeling is: friends don't let friends do this, lol...

some of the best "purpose built" rigs i have seen come from there.
so they tell you how it is there, whats wrong with that?
