help me decidem MT or AT
I am in the process of looking for new tires, I am open to suggestions...but so far I am looking at either the BFG AT or the Maxxis Buckshot MT. I am looking for a tire that has great on-road manners in all conditions, but also a rugged tire for my weekend offroading, I work on a farm and I am always driving through muddy fields, gravel roads, and ditches. I am looking to get roughly 35-50 thousand miles and in the price range of under $130/tire (for 31 x 10.5 x 15). Also, I live in Minnesota and need a tire that works well in rain and around 5 inches of snow. Also, if anyone knows of a reasonable place to buy the Maxxis Buckshots, let me know...thanks.

i got 35in buckshot's and absoutley love them.. i would suggest to get those tires.. the BFG's are great tires, but i think they are over-rated.. and EVERYONE has them...yes they do good and prolly get more miles out of them.. but i live in FL and see ALOT of rain.. and i havent slipped or anything with these tires.. they do have a nice hum to them.. not to loud tho.. hope's this helps out a little... mine were from 4wheelparts... 500$ shipped, but the guy i got them from also knew people that worked there and got a little discount i do believe.. so im not exactly sure how much they would be

Yes someone did... I don't know that he comes around here very often anymore though. I've had BFG ATs on both of my Rangers and still love them. Great tread life, a good, aggressive look, good traction in all weather (snow included), and pretty affordable too. You won't get good traction in the snow with MTs unless you get them siped.

You can buy American and do us all, including yourself, a favor. For that reason if no other I wouldn't do the buckshots.
Myself and some others have the new Mickey Thompson MTZ's. They're a siped mud terrain and are pretty darn good both on and off road. Just search "MTZ" on here to read our comments. There's even a video up.

My advice- go with the MTs. With as much snow, rain, and mud you say you drive through the ATs wouldn't work near as well. Besides, todays MTs have decent treadwear. I can't speak about the Buckshots specifically, but my Dunlop MTs were good for approx. 30k miles.
That MTZ video is pretty cool, except for the stupid girls comment. Keep in mind that the truck is 2wd. MTZ Mud Run

Although if you aren't going to take that advice, the buckshots can be found on ebay. Same place that Brian used to get them from.
