Backspacing for Rims

I have a few questions about rims for rangers on the topic of backspacing and a stock suspension. I have a 2003 2wd with the four cylinder and coil suspension up front. I want to get the Crager soft eights in gloss black with a different backspacing. I want the rims to be stepped out a little to give the truck a wider stance and a meaner look. Can somebody tell me what they have been successful with and what your settings were. I appreciate all help with this topic and thank you in advance.

Thanks

I am new to the forum idea, and now I understand and will caution myself before posting anything. I apologize and just wanted to pose a general question but I guess it came at more specific...consider the situation noted. I will repost the question in the specific forum for the question.

I moved it to the correct area. No need to create a new thread.

Less backspacing will push your rims out farther, more backspacing will put your rims inward... I have 15x8's on mine, with 3.75 backspacing. Hope that helps :)

if you get the regular old cragers they will push out perfect. they usually run flush with the OE Ranger flares.
