Summit will price match, they have good prices. I picked mine up from www.4wheelparts.com as they had a gift card at the time.

I know its too late but i picked my 32's at 4 wheel parts. They had a 60 dollar instant rebate and it came out to 467....really cheap. It was only through the 28th of Feb but you should check them out cause i think it would still be a decent price.

Costco sucks....I went to them to get a price and I gave them my tire size and they looked it up and they were like..."Umm...you are only supposed to run 245s on that truck not 265s..(which I currently have). So we can only put 245s on there cuz thats the manufactred suggested size and we cant go bigger. So yeah...no Costco for me.

Go here:

Pick up the phone call every single one close to you and talk pricing. Ask for the manager, the sales people don't have the authority to make significant price drops.

I, just today got a set of BFG A/T's at Big O
First he quoted me $135 ea. then went home and looked online, same tire was $113, called the salesperson, whoops, made a mistake he said (uh-huh)
anyways went back, got $25 credit for my POS COntinentals, so (4) 30x950x15
with mounting, balance and warranty for $619.95 OTD

I got my BFG at's 33x12.5x15 at discount tire for $700 OTD which included mounting, balancing, rotations, and free replacement warranty.

What I did was called all the tire shops in town several times and took the lowest quote of $ 615and had discount price match then added in the free replacement warranty $23 a tire + tax which brought it to 700 OTD. When I called discount for quotes it was between $825-$950 depending on the store and sales person.

I also used Discount. They price matched 4 wheel parts. I didn't have the choice of waiting for a sale because I needed a spare. I am very cautions like that. Out the door I was a tad over $900. I hate the tire prices for 16" rims. I still saved about $100 over Discount so I was happy.

Great, but would summit balance and mount them? Plus have free rotations for the life of the tire?

+1 i'm a big discount tire fan. they have great service, they fix your flat for free, and the prices are right there with anybody. and don't forget the greatness of the road-force balance. it'll make those big tires roll smooth as glass.

But what if I am not buying new wheels and I just wan the tires? For summit to compare to the $520 price at discount they would have to knock at least $40 off for the instillation, then the cost of shipping and what if you don't have a jcak and stands to rotate tires, or maybe someone has better things to do with their time.

15-30 minutes on either of my days off = trip to discount tire for rotation. Of course that was back when I didn't have jack stands and a floor jack. Only problem now is locating the electric impact gun somewhere in my mom's garage in a town 1 hour away from here.

Not to mention discount's tire warranty. Tire takes a crap, discount replaces.

Lifetime rotation and balances...yeah if I'm gonna pay for the service why not use it. Unless someone wants to buy a computerized tire balancer for me?
