Heres a crappy cell phone pic of the wheels I just finished. Pics do them no justice at all. They look amazing, much better than I anticipated. I used PPG's omni line of paint, which is there cheap stuff. Paint went down perfect but the clear was kind of thin. used 3 coats of paint and 4 coats of clear. To prep them i used a red scotch brite pad to take off all the shine from the factory finish. wiped them down with windex and got to sprayin. Need to wet sand and buff but probably wont do it. There just wheels after all
BTW....duplicolor wheel paint is junk IMO. I used it but it left a chalky finish. Ended up going over them with krylon satin. Looked good but had a few rock chips in a few months.

i used duplicolor graphite on my wheels and they came out great. they have not chipped or scratched at all in the lasst year. you really need to prep them good. sand the wheels and clean them good before you spray. and you must use clear coat. mine came out great and many other people have done some awesome looking wheels with the stuff. as long as you know how to paint and take your time. or you can powder coat

I painted the rims on my truck in August, do a search youll find my thread.
the paint job itself came out better than I thought. I first washed the rims with soap and water then used a commerical cleaner called OB, then used liquid sandpaper then 180grit...
the liquid sand paper again, primed and painted. Out of pocket cost was like $25 for all 4. I rattle canned them. They came out better than I had expected.
I also think its worth noting that my passenger side rear drum was dragging hard core... to the point that it burned all the paint off the drum itself it got so damned hot... however, the rim paint remained intact with no blemishes. I used duplicolor. I did NOT clear coat them
