Maybe Dumb question....

Im wanting Cragar Soft 8s 15x7 can i fit pretty much any size tire on a 15x7 rim? I wanna put 30 inch tires on it until i get a lift. Also what is the bolt pattern 5 x 4-1/2 or something else?

yea...no probs. 15x7 is fine. I'd prefer 15x8 due to the availability of different back spaces. Plus who knows....someday you might want to lift it w/ bigger tires. The wheels would be one less thing you need to buy.

well the thing is that if you get 15x8 and get 30's, the 30's are going to be 9.5" wide. Thats calling it rather close. I'd say unless you really need new tires don't bother with it yet until you can get the tires you want.

I ran those same rims 15x8" with stock size tires just fine.. 30"s should work with it though you could save your $ and be happier with a lift and some nice 31"s or so later down the line.. took me 3 years, now im on my 4th set of rims and 3rd set of tires including stock because I did not plan it out.. now I perfer alloys, they are lighter and I got all 4 for $100 used off a jeep site, beats the $64 I paid for each steel rim new..

because its an extra 2$ a rim now compared to an extra 60$ a rim to get new wider rims that will be better suited for wider tires
