Only real differences between the 98-09 kits are the fuel filler neck sizes and the fuel filler vent tube sizes...all cured with a short trip to the home depot for hose barbs and a short chunk of rubber line and some hose clamps. Can be driven with the filler neck hanging down.

Get the summit kit....go to summitracing.com and look up a Ford ranger 1999 and you'll find the bodylift. It's like a whopping $150.

You may need to buy some extra lift picks off eBay depending on how many bolts hold your bed on. Or just don't worry about it like I did :)

07 won't be like '09's that have like 10 or 12 freaking bed bolts! lol.

Even for the '09s that have extra bolts doesn't the kit come with extra blocks and bolts??

I got 10 bed bolts and only 8 kit supplied pucks and bolts. But like I said not worried about it. 10 is a little extreme for a short bed.

Kits come with 14 blocks....12 are needed on shortbeds. '09's need I think 16, possibly 18 total blocks. Even shortbeds. Longbed '09, I don't know.

don't the 09s just have 2 extra bolts in the bed?? Thus needing 14 blocks??

that's why PA put extra pucks in the kit!! they knew Ford was gonna add bolts!! haha

I still am missing 2...its a very sad thing....but 10 bed bolts is a bit overkill for a ranger...no?

Going by what Dallis is saying, and by what I know...

'09+ = 10 bed bolts
'08 and older Longbed = 8 bed bolts
'08 and older Shortbed = 6 bed bolts.

Two extra are included in the older year kits so that they cover the 7ft longbed trucks.

But wait a minute, OP has an 07. He most definately has 6 bed bolts if he's a shortbed.

I think we can come to the conclusion that OP will not have to read all this.....sorry for the mass confusion Marie!

i still dont see why you need the filler neck extension. i was able to extend mine without the extra parts. the metal tubes pull out enough to go far enough.

The general concensus is that some need the fuel extentions....some don't. All the ones I've done needed it.
