Replacement bumper and 3" body lift?

Hey Guys-

I recently rear ended someone and messed up my front bumper. I have a 3" body lift on my ranger and when I hit, the bumper was hit in a way that it tilted the sides of the bumper down. I took the bumper off and I see that they used two after market brackets to lift the bumper up high enough to make the bumper flush with the rest of the frame. Those brackets are what bent and caused the bumper to fold downward.

I purchased a new bumper (dented) and I figured what the hell, I will buy the valence with factory fog light cut outs. I pounded out those brackets, attached the valence to the bumper, placed the fog lights in, and lifted it up to find that the brackets lift it high enough to hit the top of the fog lights on the body where the bumper is normally attached. So, I figured I would just find some new fog lights later; I took them out, lifted it up again, and this time I find that the valence hits the frame. I originally had the valence with no factory fog light cut outs.

My question is this... How do they perform a 3" body lift on a Ford Ranger with factory cut headlights? I would think there is a way for me to lift the bumper and valence with brackets, so they fit?? Does this mean if I were to get a factory ranger with fog lights and I wanted a lift, they would need to remove them and the valence to do so?

Do any of you know if there are different brackets or a trick to doing this? I would really like to use the factory cut fog lights/valence. Also, is there a place where I can buy those brackets because I know they are fatigued now from me bending them back.

Any of you have any advice? Has anyone successfully installed a body lift with a ranger with fog lights?

Thanks, Matt

are you talking about a 98-00 ranger with a 4x4 valence?

according to the instructions, you are supposed to cut the stock bumper mounts

Well, here is what I had. I bought the same bumper, but the lower part I bought one with the fog lights. The second picture is the bracket I am talking about. Are there two different kinds of valences? One for 4x4 and one for not? They only had two style valences; one with fog and one without.
