Body lift problem

I bought my truck with a body lift, and the put an extension in the fuel line so that you can pump gas.....well for some reason in the summer you can pump gas fine, but when its cold in the winter, you cant put .5 gallons in without it spitting it back out, and it goes all down the sideo f my truck, which ate my clear coat...but i waxed it 1499234 times so you cant tell as much....is there ANY ideas out there that i can do?? i bought some fuel hose that was 1inch, dropped the tank and it wasnt big enough, its like a 1.5 or 2 inch opening....any ideas are welcome, as it is getting cold and i DONT want the gas to keep spitting back out, its a Pain in the *** to pump gas for 20 min when its 10 degrees outside....

Thanks, i can get pics of the hose if need be....

go to autozone or that place have then bring up a ranger filler neck found out the size then from there get a longer one that size. maybe a f-150 will work you have to double check though.

i went to both, auto zone didnt know what they were talking about, advanced knew what i was talking about, but didnt have a hose big enough, they dont go that high, they told me to go to ford and get one, but ford would only have stock formed ones, when i need a universal....i wanted to just get one new hose and make a strait shot from the filler to the tank, so there wasnt any interuption....

Napa is where i got the 1inch hose from that was too small, thats the biggest they had so i told them ide try it.....I guess my last resort is to go to the "Trails west" by my house and see what they say, mabey they can order in universal filler hose....

check to make sure you did not pinch the vent hose
makes no sense that it would fill prroperly in the summer but not in the winter
is this happening at the same station? - if the truck is on an angle that could also effect the filling

Go to a place that sells plumbing supplies. They should have lots of types of hoses and tubing to use...

Is this only happening at one station? Have you tried different stations? I know some have the high flow pumps and can cause premature cut off.

My guess would be that the hose contracts in the cold and that's what makes it spit back out... Don't know where you'd find something to fix it though

Yeah its at any gas station, bp, dairy mart, speedway, ect.....in the winter i have to pump 1 gallon per 5 min. so it doesnt spit back out, its kind of like pouring pop into a glass too fast....it comes back up the top, but its only in the winter....im not sure what else it could be, i had it at ford but they said its not under warrenty because its lifted, so they cant do anything with it, and i was like "well i dont care if its not under warranty, i want it FIXED!" but they told me to go to a 4 wheel drive place and see what they say, but i need to do something fast, because winter is coming faster than i thought....i also need to get my remote start hooked up

Did you take the hose off the tank when you installed the pipe, maybe tightened the clamp down to much and pinched the valve? If there is a rollover valve in the end of the neck or tank?

ok well heres what ys do.....
u have one single piece of hose right?.... take ur filler hose and cut it in half.... the half that u can unbolt from the side of ur truck "where u put gas in at" now take it to napa or something tell them you need an extention/Contction"your putting the same size tube back together so that should know what ur talking about" and some hose clamps...or you could down grade to a smalled size hose and do it like that...but just hose clamp it back together... i did mine with fence post and hose clamps and it works great corse it doesn't get to 10º in texas nether lol
