bumper relocation brackets

so i just got off the phone with Performance Accessories and they say theres no available reloc brackets because of the bumpers "C-shape" that goes over the top and bottom of the framerail, and that in order to relocate the bumper, i'd either have to notch the bumper or the framerail. what have any of you 2nd gen guys done with relocating bumpers after a body lift, if anything at all? i could imagine 3 inches of space between bumper and bottom of the front clip would look very strange!

Mini-bump...
I realize that this is a dated thread, but I am encountering this now myself. I am curious if anyone has fabbed their own bumper brackets after a body lift.
I am in the process of getting a BL kit, but it would be nice to be able to complete the look, if possible.
I guess the alternative would be to cover up the gaps much like the sides?
