different body lifts

what is the difference between the 1998-2000 ranger and the 2001-2005 ranger body lift? i've read on here that the 98+ body lift works on all newer trucks, but there is a different part number listed. the 2001-2005 lift is 75.00 more. i'm just wondering if any one knows why?

Because it is summit brand. It is not no name brand. They only thing different is the filler neck extension. You will need to buy a different size hose.

PA lists two different part numbers for 98-00 and 01-05....but in all reality, ANY 98+ kit will work on ANY 98+ truck. Only differences are the fuel filler neck and the fuel breather hose. That problem will be fixed via a trip to Lowes or Homedepot or Ace or True value via a hose barb and a short length of hose.
