3" body lift

after a long debate with me and my buddies i decided to get a lift kit for my 99 ford ranger. I didn't want to get a suspension lift cause of the sick amount of money they cost,a and i didn't want to get to crank the torsion bars cause of the possibility of changing the ride. So i decided on a nice body lift, only problem is they only sell a 3" body lift when i was really looking for a 2". My buddies dad told me he made a body lift himself with nylon tubbing he bought from the store along with other things but that seemed like to much work for just an inch less so im deciding to just buy this kit from the link tell me what you think it would look like?

Go for the 3" Bodylift, you won't regret it. Cab bolts are a pain in the **** but it's worth it.

Well cab bolts CAN be a pain either way you go with your body lift. just get a small propane torch and heat the bottom of bolts till the tips start turnin red and they'll back right out with an impact. I guess i ***** mine out too. this is a 3"bl with 33's but i also got t-bars cranked (IMO alot better ride with 33's) and rearshackles......

Yeah the bolts were a pain. if heat dosnt work have a strong buddy of yours hold the bottom washer/bushing with a pair of channel locks, use a breaker bar up top then buzz it out with the impact. take your time and watch the brake lines and wires. ehh Ill ***** too

I took a quick look at the directions and it mentioned needing to weld. Is this part tough? Did you guys weld yourselves or have someone else do it?

i didnt weld anything....i went out and bought "JB WELD" and put that on....its for the bed crush blocks...some ppl either just sandwich them in and they hold when u tighten the bed bolts down or some ppl don't even put them in haha.

Where in MA are you from i just noticed that haha

I wouldn't waste money on the PA kit. I got a summit kit it was $128 shipped and it works and looks great. My lift took me 15 hours and 2 days but it was worth it. I welded my crush blocks in. Ill ***** a pic too
