01 2.3 timing belt
im about to do some spring cleaning on my 01 2.3 5spd,and at 127k im going to get the timing belt done with a few other things,just getting prices on the parts now and do i need to replace the timing belt tensioner when i do the timing belt?parts america had the tensioner and a component kit listed for it,is there anything else i should replace while im down there i plan on driving this truck forever,it has a new radiator and thermostat with plugs and such.questions comments concerns appreciated,thanks.

well for anyone that reads this,just fyi.
if you have the 2.3 in a 2001 it does not have a timing belt. that engine is a 16 valve engine that has a timing chain with no need to replace.
Are the spark plugs In the center of the valve cover? if so you have a chain.
If the plugs are not in the center of valve cover, you have the older engine. A 2.5L single cam engine wirh 8 plugs and the timing belt.
If this is your engine replace the belt, tensioner and water pump along with 8 plugs and wires.
2001 was a transitional year from the 2.5 to the new 2.3
