2.3 throttle body spacers

i just took a trip to WV in my 2001 2.3 and driving through hills and mountains made me realize my truck really needs some more *****. i remember reading either here or somewhere else online about somebody making their own throttle body spacer for their 2.3 which gave em more power at lower rpms, so do you guys have any ideas of how to go about doing the same, or where/who to buy them from? im still new to a lot of the technical stuff so lemme know if i dont know what im talking about haha

yeah i was in a similar situation to you, but i found from people on here that on EFI 2.3's it really doesnt do anything at all. i'm forced to deal with that struggle up hills too. hopefully not for long though, looking for a 4.0 or 5.0 for mine now, hell even a 3.0 would be better

spacers work on carburated intake by providing extra intake volume which is useful in carb'd applications when air fuel is mixed first, but on an injection motor it couldnt care if theres extra volume right behind the throttle body b/c it has nothing to do with fuel atomization or air speed in the intake

Rangers come stock from the factory with high-flow cats. You will gain nothing by removing them ,EXCEPT, failure on state vehicle inspection.
