Brakes are ruined...

I went to the mall earlier and on the way home My truck started that mysterious shaking, so I pulled into a parking lot and put on the brakes. I noticed that when I wanted to pull off the truck was stuck like the park. brake was on. and when I got home the front right rims was dark as could be. So I sprayed it with the water hose and It was sizzling. So I'm going to the Ford place not too far away and let them work on it b/c thats the only place around here that acctually likes to work on my truck evrytime I've been there they didn't give me all this B.S. prices and stuff. Guess its b/c my mom sold a house to one of the managers and an employee there. One of the reasons I still like Ford and would deff. buy from them again.

Um, a hot disc brake will boil water (sizzle) even if its operating normally. Its not very good to spray water on a hot disc, because the heat-transfer could fatigue the disc, or in extreme circumstances, cause it to crack.

take the caliper off and remove piston
clean it up and rebuild
spray the tire not the rim or rotor if it is very hot

last time i redid my brakes, the "anti-squeak clip" lodged behind the caliper piston keeping it engaged and wore the pad completely out so i was grinding on metal. anyway, that clip pierced the piston boot so I had to swap it out for a rebuilt caliper. hope yours insn't that bad though...

If you arent farmillar with how brake systems work then dont attempt rebuilding a caliper. I suggest going to the dealership b/c they have genuine Ford parts and techs that know Ford. Im sort of partial to dealerships b/c i work for one. But honestly that is the safest way to go. Believe me if a tech ***** something up they have to repair it for free, i know all too well. Most places have a parts and labor warranty anyway, so your money is well spent.

well my dad and I just finished looking and its not the brakes. It was the U-joints where trying to find out how much they are and where to buy, its to late to call any parts stores.

Here some pictures I took today, my dads gonna pick up the parts and We'll prolly install it tonight if its not raining.

Heres the brake rotor:

The inside of the rim(tried to clean it):

And here the rim I polished since it was off. And I gotta redo the center cap b/c it fades and cracks:
