crank no start 2002 ranger 2.3

new here and having a BLANK of a time.
2002 ranger 2wd 2.3l 5sp
has sat for a long time. i have checked all the fuses to be sure they are good. check
gas was bad so i removed the bed, siphoned the fuel, cleaned it a bit and replaced it with good fuel with some stabilizer in it.
had to replace the fuel pump while in the tank
verified the fuel pump works (bed is still off and i can hear it when i turn the key)
engine turns easily but will not catch
i can spray carb cleaner in the air intake and the engine will try to catch but will not stay running
I have pressurized the fuel by turning the key.
I have depressed the button in the schrader valve to clear out the old fuel multiple times and it seems to be pretty clear but it wont catch.

I have no tools to separate the fuel line from the fuel rail

I am at a loss and would love some sound advice on how to get this little beater (you should see the poor thing) started.
