Hi all, Im new to this forum and am trying to gauge what this 1986 Ford Ranger pre-runner would be worth. If anyone has any input it would be greatly appreciated 25,000 original miles Factory Tach & Dual tanks Front and rear Dual Shock set up 4 Wheel Disc Brakes Sandy Cone Industries full floater 9in Rear End Fuel Safe Fuel Cell Custom Bumpers & Skid plate Custom 16in race wheels BFGs Fuel Injected 2.9 V6
Look at what pre-1990 Rangers are going for in your area, a clean one, that's a base price
Low miles don't really matter as this is not a "collector" car, and drive train/chassis is 36 years old so, "clean interior" is better
If current engine and drive train have 25k miles then you can say that
Add up the cost of all the updated gear it has, just the parts not any labor
Then divide that by 2, so if there are $15,000 in extra parts, then its $7,500, add that to the base price and see if you get any calls
Here is the problem with custom trucks
The young guys that want them can't afford them
The older guys that want them and have the money, BUILD what they want with the gear/parts that they want
So your market is "thin", you need someone who likes "most" of the parts and updates you have done, and is willing to pay a bit less because the parts are "not what they would have used"
Custom is custom, build it the way you want it
Good news is, So.Cal. is the place to sell it
