i towed a 2000 lb boat and trailer combo off the bumper.. but only for a short distance.
it did ok , no way i would take it on the highway.

towing a 3000lb plus jeep 5hrs with a 4cyl 5spd?? = no chance.

may the force be with you..

THIS IS NOT A SAFE TOW
The truck will pull it just fine. My 86 pulled a F150 and did fine. Just don't hot rod it.

COME ON GUYS! So..is everyone saying that it is imposable to tow this Jeep with this Ranger?! Why?! Why is it imposable to do it? Most of the people that reply to this say that he will need a new tranny or clutch. Its a Jeep we're talking about..not a semi! Its been done before! (thats all..I'm done. :D)

as long as im not stopping and having to start again, and stay where the engine develops peak torque i dont think the hills are gonna be much of a problem.

Just kidding - glad you made the trip okay!

Makes me want to try hooking a tow bar up to my aunt's '80 Pontiac Parisienne...only a 2 hour trip through the hills.
