Icon2 Heater control valve orientation 2.3L?

Took off my heater control valve on my 2001 2.3L because it looked like it was leaking in the rear.

I forgot to mark it now I can't remember if the canister should face up or down on the driver side.

Can anyone look at their 2.3L and tell me which way is correct? I took pictures of both ways but not sure if it even matter or if the flow would be screwed up.

From the few pictures I could find online I have seen both ways which is confusing since one way has to be right and the other wrong.

thanks,
-Nigel

Found this picture online but wanted to make sure it's correct... Clearly the vacuum line is on top which would mean mine was on the bottom after looking through old fb pictures of my truck.

Just wanted to make sure that is correct in the picture.

Appreciate it! I just fixed mine so it is like that. It's been years running it the other way so who knows if that was a problem?? Always had hot heat no problem.
