How many miles on your 2.3

There's NO WAY you have an 8 year old truck with 250,000 miles on it and are still using the orig. factory break pads.

My 1991, Ranger 2.3 (dual plug always had lots of power for my needs, had a 4:10 rear end (24.5MPG)At 396,000 miles I gave it to a kid at Church. I hadn't had the valve cover off the engine. I did a compression check at 392K and it was 180PSI per cylinder with nothing lower than 175 PSI, I did great maintenance on it. It never left me on the road one single time. Did the auto trans at 272K miles for $700 (I got connections LOL). Best vehicle I ever owned.
I replaced it with a 2006 Volkswagen TDI Beetle. It destroyed the engine at 128K, cost me over $5K to fix it and I did the R&R. It was an extensive job. Don't buy one.
Rangers ROLL !!

I had to replace the alternator today 289,000 not bad for 13+ years. Oh yea i had to replace the clutch assembly about 3 months ago. I better quit bragging on this. It has been one good vehicle.
