MPG question
That is very very bad! what gears are you running? 3.27? time for a regear! the money you save on gas would pay for it's self in no time.
I thought 3.45's were the tallest the 94-97 2.3's came with. Or at least that's what my truck has, and I really couldn't imagine anything taller than what I have, it would really be a pooch lol
With 4.10s and 31s I get 20-22mpg depending on rather I rawhide her or not. 4.10s and 31s feels like a turtle sometimes then others it feels just right. Sounds like yall guys getting below 20 need to regear, badly.
I get 18.34 MPG on a 2.3 automatic Ranger, all city driving.
On the highway the best I got was 31 MPG.
I fill up approx every 200 miles whether it needs it or not. Doesn't cost so much that way. I can fill up for about $20.00.

well I can get about 340 miles to my tank when the light comes on (I think it is a 15g tank), but I try not to get below 1/4, so its usually around 250 at the 1/4 mark. but since I put my 31's on my mpg has dropped to 19... i want my twenties back :(
I usually fill up when the gas light comes on (it comes on really early, so I have like 3.5 gal left in the tank). For the 13.5 gal I use, I get about 360 miles give or take 20-40 miles depending on weather/driving habits. I have a lift and 32" tires. I average about 25-26 mpg, but have gotten as low as 23 mpg when hauling TONS of stuff going about 75-80, and as high as 28 mpg. (all calculations done per fill up). Oh, I have 4.56 gears.

then what does that have to do with this thread, this is for 4 cylinders not v6's.
