So got a map sensor code showing on a ranger I’ve just bought 2006-2012 engine version 2.5 thunder.
the previous owner replaced the map sensor. I’ve used a multimeter to check voltage which is as follows.
Koeo with map detached pin1 0.03 p2 4.69 p3 5.01 p4 5.47.
koeo with map attached p1 0.03 p2 1.86 p3 5.01 p4 4.00
koer p1 0.03 p2 1.86 p3 4.90 p4 3.70
Done a vac test as p4 signal at idle should be about 1v if I’m correct. Vac test on map sensor and seems to be fine.
plugged in my obd reader cleared codes and at idle baro reads 14.94 psi engine rpm 720 maf 7.11 g/sec calculated boost 20.6 psi map 35.53 psi
map seems really high volt reading and psi when the engine management light comes back on after a few starts the maf reads 12.52g/sec
revving the car up the map sensor doesn’t seem to change.
the egr has been replaced as the cooler was leaking so done both at once. Any help is appreciated
cant see and leaks from the intercooler pipes

When I clear the error codes the throttle body closes up but the map readings are the same. If I push down on the arm a tiny bit I can bring the map readings down to 15-20 psi could a bod throttle body be causing this?
the last owners had their mechanic clean the throttle body could it have got damaged so it’s not sitting right?
