RANDOM GROUND LOCATION

I have a 96 Ranger with the 2.3 2WD, looking to where this random ground goes to looks pretty important just can’t find an original spot. It’s on the driver side of the engine bay

has a cornered edge.

Larger, main negative battery cable like that usually is on start motor bolt or engine block

Vehicle grounds are like this
Large battery negative to starter motor bolt or engine block, this cable is required to carry 60-80amps when start motor is being used, and then continuous 30-60 amps from alternator

Smaller ground wires/straps
Engine to firewall, for cab electrics
Engine to frame for tail lights
Battery Negative to rad support/inner fender, ground for relays, horn and head lights
Under cab to frame
Under bed to frame
