Rough Idle

If I rev the engine up like 4k or something, and then let the rpm fall to idle, it goes down to about 600rpms, and idles like its got a big cam in it. After you tap the gas, it will idle at normal idle speed and idle smoothly. Why does it do that?

Have you tried new spark plugs and cleaning the MAF?

Don't do that anymore and the problem will go away.

true, but I was wondering why it does it......I really dont think it should do that. Still, the rpms will drop down below its normal idle when im comming to a stop when I push the clutch in.......doesn't do it every single time, but it does it most of the time.
