ticking in motor

Does anyone else have a tick in the motor from idle to about 2000rpm? could it be a valve or spring gone bad? or is that the norm.

It could also be a leak in the exaust maniflod gasket around one of the exaust ports.

Are you sure the noise is coming from the engine?
I have a similar ticking noise but it seems to come from the trans or bell housing area.
I had my heads redone and new manifold gaskets 5000 miles ago so I doubt that is the problem in my case.

iam pretty sure, i think its comeing out of the cam/head area, i think its a sticky valve or a bad spring.
