Icon4 urrrgent need help fast.

i got a new motor for my truck its a newer 2.3 motor. but its obd2 will it be cheaper to re flash my computer or get a new one that is obd2 for my truck? need seriouse help only have 5 days to do this.

need to wait longer than 1hr 9 mins...lol theres alot of people here with that knowledge that can help just gotta be paitient and give them time to see this.

I dont think you can flash you computer to obd2.

Correct. You cannot flash the 93's 60-pin EEC-IV PCM (OBDI) with the program from a 104-pin EEC-V PCM (OBDII).

Unfortunately, you also would not be able to simply drop the OBDII engine, PCM and harness into your truck without making other changes.

i thank you can run the motor you will just have to swap stuff from the old motor like sensers and stuff to make it work with the obd 1 system

im going to get a obd 2 comp tomorrow to match the truck, do i need a new vin # or any thing with it?

The engine harness will not plug into the engine bay harness. Beyond that, possible speed sensor or evap system problems. Depending on the year of the donor, there could also be PATS and fuel system incompatibilities. Probably more.

This approach might work. You'd need to see if everything is compatible. 2001 and newer 2.3's cannot be adapted this way.
