Washer fluid light

My washer fluid light doesn't come on if the tank is empty or near empty, whatever triggers it. Can someone tell me where to locate a plug/cable for this to see if its unplugged or not.

I think there is a light on the dash for it, but it get hooked up in the Explorers, not the Rangers.
