No Washer Fluid

So i got home from college and was driving my truck and relized that i wasnt getting any washer fluid to come out when i pushed the button. I dont think the sprayers are cloged becasue they worked fine the week before. Is it possible that the motor is clogged or bad and how would i check it.

With the engine off and the key to RUN , do you hear the pump when pushing the button?
Are the air temps at or below freezing where you are ? If so the nozzels may be froze.Press the heel of your hand over them for a minuite or two to thaw them.
If the pump runs try holding the button for 15-20 seconds. Then look under the truck for a drip.Maybe a busted hose.

Hate to state the obvious, but did you look to see if there is anything in the tank?

OMG, that is the worst thing ever! You need to sell you truck ASAP!

OK, joking aside, maybe you accidentally introduced a piece of something that clogged the line? If it was very low, maybe something was floating in there that got sucked into the line?

Ok starters get that H2O out of that tank now.

Remember water freezes at 32°F, get that cheap blue crap. It usually can handle at least -10°F.

i usually do get it but i was almost out in the tank and didnt have any so i just put water in it. thats why i figured i needed to get it fixed soon before it gets below freezing is there a drain plug in the tank somewhere?

nope.. you can syphon it out or just run the pump, disconnect the hoses and route it to a bucket.

Except in CA, that stuff is illegal. I have to go to NV to get washerfluid with antifreeze... :(

I guess that would be a good way to tell if the motor was broke or the hose was clogged. thanks!

did your pump quit or your just not getting any fluid? i know a month ago mine stopped and the plastic 3-way that connected the hose from the tank to the outlets at the windshield was rotted and broken, just replaced it, but now they dont spray right, i thnk they might be clogged, but check that out

it could also be dirt/etc inside the multifunction switch. you can take the end off it and spray some electronics cleaner in there. it solved my 'phantom wipers'
syndrome.
