Here's what I've done...
Powerstack Filter
KKM Maf adapter
Flipped intake and put the filter down by the frame (just like a draxas intake)
Dynomax Superturbo muffler exited in front of rear passenger tire

Future plans...
MAF
Full upper port and polish
Draxas header
Cams
Valvetrain
E-fan

Ive got a K&N drop-in filter and custom cat-back exhaust. Nothing special, but it sounds good. Still slow as ****! :(

Best mod I ever did to my '92 2.3L was sell it. Had a SVO cam, exhaust, K&N cone, 4.10 trac lok. All of it an enormous waste of time and money.

My friend turbocharged his 2.3L, it caught on fire. Bring a fire extinguisher.

See I was once like you!

I've yet to do any motor work to my Gen I. Probably the biggest thing i'll do is get rid of the 2.0L that currently occupies my engine bay and swap over to a Thunderbird Turbo-Coupe setup. Easiest way to make power, and keep fuel mileage reasonable.

Other than that before i completely ditch the 2.0 entirely... i'll probably upgrade the carb and intake...but thats about it.

I haven't done anything yet. No money and no real need to. I will probably get a Dynomax cat back system one day in the future, but that would mostly be to ditch the ugly rusted stock system and get a slightly better exhaust note, not to gain much power.

The four banger wouldn't pull my boat and it had a really hard time with my double waverunner trailer. Plus no 4x4....it had to go. I loved it but not practical for me. The way some members have theirs set up they are really nice tho.

I find it hard to belive you had problems pulling your boat. I pull my friends Bass Boat all the time. Well, maybe like 4 times a year. Only time i truly worry it wont pull is when i am pulling it out of the water, but not because it doesnt have power, but because the tires slip so bad. We have the same truck, pretty much. Dunno, maybe i am pulling a smaller boat. havent pulled any jet skis yet.

My 4 banger was a 98 reg cab 5 speed. I have a 20' yamaha ls 2000 with twin motors. It will not pull that boat outta the water. I would smoke the clutch. It had a had a hard time with my jetskis. They are 96 seadoo XP's with the 800 rotax in em sitting on a galvanized steel trailer. The trailer is huge about 17' from ball to lights. It is made for much larger crafts. My new(er) truck with the 4.0 I can't even tell I'm pulling em.

Ok, you do have a much larger boat. As for my clutch, i never really noticed/smelled any problems from it. I know that the torque was increased in my truck a considerable amount from the 95 rangers (which is what my friend with the boat has), but I am not sure if there is a difference between the 98 and the 2002.

Part of my trucks problem was also due to the fact that it had a 3.45 gear ratio. That truck couldn't get out of itz own way, but I have driven the same truck with a 3.73 rear and it wasn't really any better.
