I'm all about saving a buck here or there but...$39.00 and from NAPA. I began buying parts from NAPA because the usually sold the good stuff. I asked if it were just the position sensor then I looked it up and it was the whole enchilada. In a pinch, I mighta done it. I'm going to wait a few days and keep an eye on things. I did some troubeshooting and the noise does not seem to be coming from that area. I'm sure though, after 290Kmiles...it's done and needs replacement. This week for sure.

If I ever get this thing to "NOT jump out of the engine compartment at idle" I'll post up what I found.

Many owners have reported problems with fit and/or repeat failure with these Chinese knockoffs. For the Synchronizer/CMP, I would use Ford/Motorcraft only.

 

Don't worry, I ordered mine from Ford today. I'm a tad **** about putting good parts in there and doing it all ONCE. LOL

I not posting how much I spent on this junk from Ford. It wasn't cheap and I supposedly got the brother-in-law price. LOL I'm gonna put it in this weekend, come hell or high water which may well happen. They are forecastin allot of rain, I heard 12 inches and as much as 20 inches this weekend near New Orleans. With the VW inside the shop already and the race bikes, it's gonna be tight but I'll manage. This shouldn't take too long.
