'03 ranger motor

my '98 ranger bent a rod. i found a '03 motor for a grand. what would i have to do to put an '03 motor into my '98?

You'll need at least a computer/ecu/pcm whatever. what engine? what trans? changing engine size between the two? all these things must be typed out there if you want any accurate replies.
