1994 Ranger Coolant Leak At Thremostat
Have a 94, 3.0, that is leaking coolant. I've replaced the thermostat 3 times now thinking I'd somehow managed to screw it up, but the leak seems (can see the coolant come bubbling out) to be coming from the bolt hole closest to the engine. There's no leakage coming from the front bolt hole or anywhere else that I can see. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas!
Sorry, posted in wrong the place, reposting it in the 3.0 area. if anyone can/wants to delete this one, please feel free to do so.

I'd remove the thermostat housing and inspect it for cracks. If none are found, try lightly sanding the mating surfaces with 150-200 grit sand paper. Clean both surfaces with some rubbing alcohol. Re-inspect mating surfaces ensuring there's no gouges or eroded surfaces that may cause further problems.
Next, if using a paper gasket, apply this to to both sides, allowing to setup before reassembly Permatex High Tack Gasket Sealant.
If the bolt hole goes through the block into the water jacket, put some of this on the bolt threads before installing Permatex High Temperature Thread Sealant.
