Was driving and engine shut off. I could restart and it seems to turn on fine. Electrical seems fine I think it's fuel somewhere but don't know where to start. It does smell like a lawn mower engine.

I just completed the following repairs:

• Head gasket
• Starter
• Fuel injector plastic caps

Not alot to go on
If power to fuel pump went off while driving then there should be a Code in memory, check the codes
If fuel pump is failing it could just stop, but very unlikely that it would restart

Did you notice if power to the gauges went off when engine did?
Could be ignition switch(under steering column), is loose and it was as if you turned off the key, so engine shutdown.

Did Check Engine light(CEL) come on after engine shutdown but before restart?
