2.9L valve cover gasket cost?

My valve cover gasket on my 2.9l 90 xlt is leaking. I'm looking to replace it. I don't have time to give it a go myself due to work. What is your guys opinion on what it should cost if I take it to a shop? In Canadian dollars. Thanks.

I guess it would depend on which side.
On the 3 litres, the upper intake manifold covers the drivers valve cover, so that side would take longer.
I'm going to assume that the 2.9 litre is the same.

So 2 hours for the drivers side and 1 hour for the passengers. (can't see it taking any longer then that, baring problems of twisted off bolts and such.

At anywhere between 70.00$ to 120.00$ per hour.
A back yard mechanic would be less (none, or very little overhead), but then who do you go to ?

Most repair places have a book that says how long it's supposed to take to repair a problem, so there's that too.

Honestly I wouldn't trust anyone to touch my truck, I hear so may bad things.

Yea I'm nervous about taking it to someone. I rather just do it I just don't have the time I guess I could find a day to do it but it would be nice to not have to. Find someone one reliable to do it for me. Thanks for the advice, I have one person in mind but I'm going to just order a gasket and see what happens lol.
