I have a 2004 ranger with the 3.0 and my converter has been shuddering for a bit and I checked my fluid today and it's dark but still red ish but it looks like gunk is in there is have a new filter and fluid ready but I was wondering should I go ahead and just do the drop the pan replace the filter and fill it with enough fluid to go so it can be eased into new fluid or flush it all out
