3.0 better gas mileage
Hello i have 2002 ford ranger 3.0 auto trans 210k miles. I'd like to know any type of engine mod that increase gas mileage any? How about some sort of new exhaust? Explain it like your explaining it to a kid, I have no knowledge of this stuff lol. And don't give some response saying you have a truck or you have a 3.0 deal with it. If you have nothing to say that will help don't say anything...

From your other thread.
Are you putting the same amount of gas in ? or maybe filling up a little sooner ?
Right now we are using winter blend fuel, that can and will reduce your gas mileage by 10 to 20 percent.
Letting your car warm up before driving can use 1/2 a gallon an hour.
Short drives will reduce mileage even more with winter blend fuel.
Check your tire pressure to make sure your tires are properly inflated, tires 5 psi low can can cost you 1 - 2 miles per gallon
I'd wait until we are using summer blend fuel before spending any money on mods that CLAIM to improve mileage.
