3.0 building pressure
I’ve got a 98 ford ranger sport it’s 4wd it’s the manual I’ve owed the 4.0 and 2.7 but never a 3.0 I just bought the truck a could days ago and now it’s building pressure and over heating but the temp gauge isn’t saying that I am I put a new radiator in it because the previous owns put water from what it looked like when I drained the old on I put 50/50 anti in the new radiator and even took out the thermostat just to see if it would still do it but now all drive it for 10-15mins and it pissing coolant out the radiator cap and seems like it’s building a lot of pressure?

I am a little bit of an A-Hole when it comes to PUNCTUATION... !
If you want some help, please rewrite the paragraph, use some punctuation and capital letters... oh ya... please watch the spelling !
Thanks,
Taking the thermostat out, believe it or not, can cause the truck to over heat, but it may be just me, but the truck may have had a problem when you bought it.
A new radiator and a new thermostat may help but it could be other things, blow head gasket, cracked head or block, any water leakage or maybe smoke out the tail pipe ?
Sorry for being an A-Hole but it is VERY hard to decipher what you really want !

Welcome to the forum
You have a bad/blown head gasket or cracked head, that is where the pressure is coming from, a cranking engine has 150psi pressure in a cylinder, running engine 75psi
Rad cap rating is 14psi so...................cylinder pressure is being pushed into cooling system from bad head gasket or cracked head
You can do a FREE test to find out which cylinder is leaking, read here: https://www.ranger-forums.com/4-0l-o...sensor-157397/
Not a common issue on 3.0l like it was on the 4.0l
But any engine that was overheated long enough will CRUSH a head gasket ring, so previous owner knew this which is why there was water and not coolant in it
