Hey guys I have an 02 Ranger Edge 3.0 with 100k miles on it. Considering keeping it for a work truck, I drive 100 miles a day for work, 14 days a month. Do y’all think it would be reliable? The truck is in really good shape but idk how good the 3.0’s are or how long they last.

 

1,400 miles a month, assuming you do regular maintenance, oil changes and all that stuff, you should be able to get 250,000 plus miles out of it.

My predication is the engine will last until July 3, 2028

3.0l Vulcan engine was used by Ford in cars and trucks from 1986 to 2008(22 years), very reliable or Ford wouldn't have stayed with it so long
