3.0 Stalls, hesitation, Losing power.
Been reading on the forum to get answer to my problem, but seems no one has got there's fixed.
I have 2003 with auto Trans. it was stalling out on hills,or passing, when getting over 3200- 3400 RPM. Did not have any codes. Replace fuel filter, plugs and wires, good fuel pressure, was seeing cylinders 4,5,6 having small miss on scanner. replaced coil pack. Still had problem. Replaced cap on cam synchronizer and runs good. No more hesitation.![Duh[1]](https://www.ranger-forums.com/rf/forum2/images/smilies/duh[1].gif)
Hope this helps

That would be the cam position sensor.
The cam syncronizer is driven off the cam gear and also drives the oil pump.
3.0 engines have been known to have the gear on the syncro lose teeth when the bearing inside gets worn. The result is no oil pressure and engine damage.
