Icon9 3.0L/186 valve cover sourcing issue

So, I've got my 2008 Ford Ranger Sport with the 3.0L/186 that's currently sitting at my sister shop (I work for Firestone) because I was having them do my valve cover gaskets. Lo and behold, it wasn't the gaskets that were leaking, but the valve covers themselves. Both banks are warped somewhat severely and I'm running into the issue of trying to source replacements. Ford no longer has them in production and apparently has no backstock (have verified via four local dealership inventories and Ford's parts website). LKQ, Rockauto, Car-Parts.com, and many other trusted aftermarket sources have all turned up empty-handed so far. eBay Motors and Amazon have also been a bust. Plenty of replacements for the SOHC 4.0L model, but no luck on the 3.0L/186. Anyone have any suggestions, or luck, outside of salvage yards these days? Maybe a quieter aftermarket supplier? I'd love to be able to keep the old girl around a lot longer, especially as she's only coming up on 116k on the odometer (all original miles).

I also need a new valve cover for my Ford Ranger 2005, the original part number seems to be 4L5Z-6582-BA but can't find it anywhere either.

I read in this post also other valve covers will seal it, however will not be an exact fit.

I found this cheap one which should seal it. However I would need to find a solution to mount the coilpack

hoping someone can chime in with their advice!

I ended up finding multiple sets at the local pick and pull. Look for 2002-2008 Rangers VIN U, 2001-2005 Mercury Sables VIN U, and 2001-2006 Ford Tauruses VIN U, they all have the same generation Vulcan as ours. I got lucky and scored two sets (replacement and backup) this way. Hope it helps.

Do they break down a lot? mine looks like it melted due / burned away.

I bought a pair from the windstar which is not exactly the same, so I will try and find the ones you suggested. Quick search on Ebay didn't find anything

and thank you so much for your reply!
