is the 40 series too loud, i spend alot of time in the 2500-3500 range, how does it sound in there, also what size pipes are u running, and how about the exit, duals? and still got your cats? i only ask because i am thinkin about gion flowmaster with mine
i am keepn the cats single and running 3in pipes the 40s are loud but not wake ur neighbor hood up at 4:00 when you go hunting loud if that makes sense my dad has 3in single on his 3.7l and it sounds good the video on you tube is 2008 dodge dakota w/ flowmaster look it up
yea that will sound awsome when i am pulling into my high sckool cus i am gon to drive and all those kids settn in there daddys car and quite and i blow them all out with my flowmaster or magna flow with ever 1 i put on
your not gonna get a growl from a v6 ... might be a cats meow... but thats about it
i love mine. I think is sounds real good for a v6. besides a v6 is going to sound like a v6 no matter what. you can idle your way around the parking lot and make people think you have a v8 but in the end once you get on it... its a v6 lol.
heres mine just in case anyone wanted to here it
Edit: dont know how to work the youtube links lol here it is

I had a 40 series with 2.5 single in/out on my 93 3.0L. It had nasty cabin noise and gurgled on deceleration when I had it dumped under the bed. When I went to the "lightning style" side exit with dual tips it fixed both problems, and the sound was about as good as I can imagine a v6 sounding.
Personally I like that sound, even though it doesn't belong on a truck. lol
But honestly, Flowmaster is a maze of powerloss and really only sounds good on a v8 and even still I think there are better sounding mufflers for v8's.
