I was reading a magazine one time and the worst top speed of any vehicle was a 2003 ford ranger edge plus 4x4. Haha, just what I have governed at 91.

But like those guys said a tuner can take it off even though you don't need to drive that fast.

I got up to about 115 before I fixed my speedo from the increase in tire size. My speedo said 95 but my friend was next to me doing 115. I don't do that anymore though.

My truck is stupid. LoL It doesn't have a top speed limiter but when I have the pedal to the floor it won't shift to overdrive. It will just accelerate until it hits the rev limiter in fourth gear which is at 105MPH! I can back out of the gas and it will then shift but as soon as I try to start back accelerating my speed will be done dropped down to around 95 and it will just drop back to fourth gear.

I wonder why it is that some stock Rangers seem to be limited to different speeds. My truck has had nothing done to it...stock size tires, stock gears, stock programming, stock everything that could possibly have an effect on the speed limiter and it goes up to 97 MPH before the limiter kicks in. It still has some go left in it at that point too. I wonder what it would go to without the limiter.
